Queyras Walking Holidays

Trails climb from wooded gorges through meadows into rocky, almost desert uplands, then over a run of accessible passes. Saint-Veran, at 2,042m, claims to be the highest village in Europe, and each valley has its own timber architecture. Chamois, ibex and marmots are regular company.
